She is past president of the South Florida Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and frequently writes and lectures on immigration law. A graduate of Northwestern University (with highest honors) and George Washington University’s National Law Center, she has served on the staffs of United States Senator Adlai E. Stevenson III, Federal Communications Commissioner Nicholas Johnson, and the General Counsel of US Airways. Ms. Weiss has practiced immigration law for over 20 years. She formerly taught full-time at the University of Miami School of Law and, for many years, was an adjunct professor at Antioch School of Law in Washington, D.C., and in the Business Law Department at the University of Miami.
